1). What do you think causes the achievement gap?

I THINK IT IS CAUSED BY HOW WE ARE RAISED AND HOW WE ARE RAISED.BECAUSE IF YOU ARE RAISED IN A POOR COMMUNITY PEOPLE THINK THAT YOU WILL NEVER GET OUT OF THAT COMMUNITY, OR THAT WAY OF LIFE.

2). What can students do to close the gap?

STUDENTS SHOULD TRY HARDER AND NOT GIVE UP AS SOON AS THE WORK BECOMES HARDER. STUDENTS SHOULD ALSO THINK POSSITIVE. B/C IF WE THINK WE CAN'T GET THROUGH SCHOOL THEN WE WONT. LASTLY KIDS SHOULD WORK TO THIER FULL POTENTIAL.

3). What can parents do?

THE PARENTS SHOULD SHOULD THINK OFTHEMSELVELVES AS TEACHERS . THEY SHOULD PUSH THEIR KIDS .AND PUT THEM IN BETTER SCHOOLS.

4). what can teachers/schools do?
TEACHERS CAN EXPECTATIONS OF KIDS. THEY SHOULD CHALLENGE KIDS AND HELP THEM IF THEY NEED IT

1). What do you think of mr. hayden?
- ANSWER: I think he is a person with a lot to share and a lot to teach.
2). Tom Hayden does not think of himself as a civil rights leader . Do you see him as one? why or why not?
-ANSWER: I do see him as one b/c he formed an organization and joined others to help people get rights.
3). Mr., Hayden feels that leaders are not as important as the hundreds or thousands of people behind them. What does he mean by that ?
-ANSWER:I think he means that without those people the leaders are nothing b/c they don't have power or support.

So this saturday I broke my piggy bank and I had $34.10. So on tuesday i bought another ice skating dress and it was $27.06. oh and on monday i bought a bootleg movie and it was $5.00. i bought the movie the devil wears prada. That movie is so good it made me laugh so much. So now i only have $2.00 and not a penny more. but i'm happy cause my dress is so pretty, its black and its glittery. SO I NEED MONEY AND JENNY IS GOING TO GIVE ME SOME SINCE SHE IS SO RICH!!!!!!!!!!LOL OMG tomorrow i'm going to wear my dress and get tested on ice skating i'm so nervous.

I think that the sign that mr. hsu put up in the wall means that we all do stuff that hurts us even if we don't realize it.I have a friend her name is Jessica and i'm going to tell a story about her first time ditching. It was a monday morning when jessica decided to ditch with her sister and 2 other friends. They left and in fourth period i saw that she came back crying. She told me that they went to Dorsey and when they tried to get out they couldn't jump the fence. Jesssica coulnd't climb the fence. So they got caught and the police got them . They got handcuffed and got a ticket for two hundred and fifty dollars and their parents had to go to court. This expirience made her realize that was her first and last time dithching and that never again she would ditch. This affected her friends b/c for her fault they got caught to. This affected me b/c i know i will never ditch b/c of the fear of getting caught.
